Let’s Talk Writing Content

Est. Read Time: 3 Minutes

We talked about content planning and creating a promotional and content calendar the last two weeks, but I’m certain there are still those who are asking how to write the planned content.

Unless you’re a creative person such as myself, I imagine it can be pretty hard trying to generate content ideas constantly. Heck, even I have a hard time thinking up content some days! (Nobody is perfect.)

So I thought I would give you three different ways to create content!

Try out all of them and see what approach works best for you, or even better, mix all three methods up to help keep you and your content fresh.

Utilize the King of Content

What is the king of content?

Video.

Reels and Tik Toks are slaaaayyying!

And this method requires you to think up one good video. You can share three to five tips, a walkthrough, how-to, etc.

And then you’re going to transcribe and cut up the video into smaller portions.

Using the transcript, you can highlight quotes for Twitter or to be turned into a Canva Graphic, in fact, you’ll probably find quite a few ‘quotes’ that will create several day’s worths of content!

Using the smaller cuts of the video, you can break up each step or piece of advice and create a series of Reels and Tik Toks.

What’s important is that you experiment and see what type of content gets you the best engagement with your audience. And to do that, you need to be providing value.

Lacking Ideas?

Scroll through Hashtags that relate to your niche on Instagram and Tik Tok!

(You can get ahead by looking at Tik Tok since it is the hottest social app currently and Reels basically recycles Tik Tok trends.)

Save all the posts that bring inspiration to you. Think about what content resonates with you and what you can remake for your audience.

What sorts of advice do you see going around that you know your audience would see the value of?

Even better, what sorts of bad advice do you see going around that you can debunk and really set yourself as an expert?

Trust me, if you’re feeling uninspired, scrolling thoughtfully through other’s content will help spark your creativity!

What I do:

For me, I like to define the purpose of my post first.

Do I want to educate, inform, or entertain?

Once I know what the purpose is, I think about how I will do it.

How will I educate/inform/entertain my audience?

When I have those two decided, I think about the content type.

Will it be a Canva graphic, video, reel, or photo series?

If all of that is figured out, I find that the words just flow from my fingertips and onto my document. Clarity will give you a direction.

I truly hope that one or all of these methods get you fired up, inspired, and confident creating content!

The best thing you can do is test and find out what works best with your audience and you need to listen to your audience.

See how they talk, what words do they use? What type of content do they engage the most with?

If you’re paying attention, you’ll be able to create content your audience values.

Make sure to save this post for future reference and share it with anyone you feel needs a little direction with their content creation.

Please reach out and let me know if this has been helpful or you have more questions!

I aim to help set you up for success and prosperity.
